Duininck Family June 20-24, 2014

June 28, 2014

Hello from Southeast Alaska,

Curt Duininck has fish on the Adventurous for many years and most of his trips are centered around a portion of his 19 grandchildren. This year wasn’t any different! Curt showed up with a covey of young folks ready to fish and enjoy Southeast Alaska! Weston, Erin, Macy and Lauren have all been to Alaska with their grandfather and all look forward to time with him.

We had a Southeast Alaska weather week this round with plenty of rain to keep the boat clean and the fish in fresh water. The rainy conditions didn’t seem to affect the fishing as the bite was on this week! King Salmon continue to fill the nooks and crannies  of the outside coast feeding their way to home streams and provided us with some outstanding King Salmon fishing. We also lucked into some good halibut fishing this week and managed to land several keeper size fish of less than 44 inches or about 40 pounds. Erin Orred had the King of the week and of the season for that matter when she landed a 45 pound King after a lengthy battle! Congratulations Erin!

Thank you to Curt and Family to a nice week on the water!
