Fishing Report for 8/19/2006 - Fall is on it's way, and the Coho's are biting like crazy!

Fall is on its way and the Cohos are biting like crazy! This week we welcomed Alaska Charter Service first timers and Pesca Panama regulars for their first excursion aboard the Adventurous. Harry Lowell was joined by Jessica Siska, his son Hobie, Hoibie's girlfriend Charity Owen and Steve Dinkel with his son Ryan.

Fishing our way over the top of Baranof Island this crew of Alaska first timers had the opportunity to enjoy the diversity and variety we enjoy aboard the Adventurous. Good Halibut fishing, off the chart light tackle and fly fishing for Coho Salmon, and a visit to the hot springs made this trip one to remember. Although most of our Halibut were in the 15 to 60 pound class, Steve had a absolute monster hooked up before the fish was able to find jagged rocks which parted the line...Close encounters with Alaskan Brown Bears and bubble feeding whales also filled the week with excitement

The week ended on a windy Thursday morning with a world class salmon bite that included several nice Coho and two King Salmon!!

Another great week aboard the Adventurous!! Thanks to Harry and family for a great trip!!
