Fishing Report for 7/2/2006 - World Class Fish

King Salmon, Halibut, flat seas and out of this world scenery we had another great trip aboard the Adventurous. Returning guest Al Lewis his son Mike, and their close friend Marty Brumfield were accompanied by Adventurous first timers Dick (doc) Shrader, Ben Cravatt, and Dale McGrew.

The trip Started off with a bang finding the King Salmon plentiful and willing to bite just an hour south of Sitka. After two days of good King fishing, landing up to 10 fish a day, we decided to move south in pursuit of remote fishing grounds and anchorages. Remote fishing grounds is what we found, finding world class King Salmon fishing. We had the entire area to ourselves, and this group of avid anglers experienced Alaska's salmon fishing at its best!

With plenty of Salmon in the freezer and some fish released we made the move offshore for Halibut. The Halibut action this week was nothing short of wide open landing two and three at a time we quickly had our limit of good size fish ranging from 20 to 60 pounds!

Great anchorages, super company and out of this world meals - what a week!! Thank you so much for a great week guys, we look forward to seeing you again next year!!

Keep Casting,

Travis, Jenn and The Moose
