Fishing Report for 6/4/2006 - Team Bos!

Tony Bos, the original Adventurous Explorer was on-board last week. Tony was joined by his two sons Tony T, and Steve and their good friend Greg Hamstra (bear wrestler). Also joining this group was Tony’s brother John and his son AJ.

Team Bos have been aboard the Adventurous many times and know how to take advantage of Southeast Alaska lifestyle aboard the Adventurous. Working our way to the remote west side of Chichagof Island we enjoyed sensational weather and world class King Salmon fishing! Spending just 3 half days trolling and mooching for Kings the guys managed to land over 50 fish! Two half days of Halibut fishing produced 14 of these tasty bottom dwellers!

With fish in the freezer we had plenty of time to explore remote trails, hot springs and catch plenty of crab for supper! One of the real highlights of the week was huge pods of Gray Whales that were happy to show off to the boys in the skiff! Tony also had a super experience, seeing a XXL Brown Bear on a morning walk on the beach!

Capping the trip (as if we hadn’t done enough) with a grand finally of a quadruple on Kings we made our way back to Sitka by the Sea.
