Fishing Report for 6/11/2006 - Monty Fairweather and Family

Beginning Sunday June 11 we welcomed old time Adventurous guest and good friend Monty Fairweather and his family aboard for a great 3 day trip.

Although the weather was less than agreeable we had a super trip landing several Kings, enjoying the hot springs and the Alaska Lifestyle! For the second half of Team Fairweather's trip we welcomed team leader Rob Fairweather.

Rob was accompanied by a bunch of good guys that work with him in Seattle. As Rob reminded us "the weather and the fishing always improve when he is aboard" and to say the least he was right!!! Beginning on the first Afternoon "Team Fairweather" quickly limited on nice size Kings, but it was the second day of Robs trip that really tipped the scales.

Landing a limit of Kings first thing in the morning the boys voted to move offshore and look for Halibut and to say the least we found the Halibut biting!! The crew made quick work of the halibut landing 10 fish in under 2 hours! Stan Dewitz landed his two largest Halibut ever at 230# and 180#!! Gerry Sorensen also had great luck landing a monster 280 pound Halibut!!! With a deck load of fish we ran for the anchorage to pack fish and enjoy another great meal Adventurous Style!! For a grand finale "Team Fairweather" had a sensational early morning bite on Kings...

What a trip! Thanks to the Fairweathers for a great week!!!
