Fishing Report for 5/28/2006 - Mirror Harbor

Halibut, Ling Cod and red hot King Salmon fishing made for another great week aboard the Adventurous! Andy Anderson and his son Drew lead a group of first time Alaska Charter Service guest Josh Schilling, Sean "Cajun" Boissiere, Ed Fronapfel, and Eric Amhaus.

Spending most of the week on the remote outside coast of Chicagof Island this group of Alaska first timers had a chance to see Alaska's fishing at its best! Finding the Kings on a mid-morning bite the guys landed between 7 and 12 fish a day to 30 pounds! The hot King fishing allowed time for afternoon Halibut action landing over a dozen fish on the second day! The Lings were also on the bite landing up to 6 legal size lings a day!!

As always one of the most enjoyable portions of the trip was the spectacular anchorages and great meals! Last week we had the chance to spend a night in one of the most remote and beautiful anchorages in Southeast, Mirror Harbor. With the Adventurous safely anchored in this ultra "tight" spot, everyone enjoyed an after diner hike and a dip in natural hot springs at White Sulfur! What a week!!

It was another great week and a super opportunity to welcome the "Anderson boys" to Southeast Alaska! Thanks for a great week guys!
